Aug 8 (Reuters) - Delta Air said on Thursday it
is pursuing legal claims against CrowdStrike ( CRWD ) and
Microsoft ( MSFT ) after a global outage last month sparked by a
faulty software update disrupted the travel plans of 1.3 million
Delta passengers and cost the airline more than $500 million in
damages.
"There is no basis -- none -- to suggest that Delta was in
any way responsible for the faulty software that crashed systems
around the world, including Delta's," wrote lawyer David Boies,
who is representing Delta, to CrowdStrike ( CRWD ). He also rejected
CrowdStrike's ( CRWD ) contention that the company's liability is capped
at "single-digit millions."
