10:09 AM EDT, 08/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Denison Mines ( DNN ) said Tuesday it has received ministerial approval under Saskatchewan's Environmental Assessment Act in Canada to go ahead with developing the in-situ recovery uranium mine planned for the Wheeler River Project.
The construction of the mine is still contingent upon the receipt of the Provincial Pollutant Control Facility Permit, as well as the Federal approval of the environmental assessment and receipt of the Federal License to Prepare the Site & Construct, the company said.
The outstanding federal approvals are the subject of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission's public hearings for the project set in October and December, Denison said.
The company's shares were up 2.6% in recent trading.
