Descartes Systems Group Acquires BoxTop Technologies
Jun 11, 2024 4:52 AM

06:24 AM EDT, 06/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Descartes Systems Group ( DSGX ) on Tuesday said it has acquired UK-based BoxTop Technologies, a provider of shipment management solutions for small- to mid-sized logistics services providers (LSPs).

Descartes acquired BoxTop for about 10.3 million British pounds, funding the deal using cash on hand.

BoxTop enables LSPs to digitize their operations and connect to the wider logistics community to manage the lifecycle of shipments. LSPs use the BoxTop platform to manage the movement of goods.

BoxTop is an existing Descartes partner that uses the Descartes Global Logistics Network to help clients gain visibility into shipments and complete electronic customs filings.

The acquisition "will help us deliver more value to BoxTop customers and expand the geographic footprint into more countries in Europe," said Scott Sangster, general manager of logistics services providers at Descartes.
