12:34 PM EDT, 03/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Designer Brands ( DBI ) shares slid nearly 14% in recent trading after the company reported a fiscal Q4 adjusted loss Thursday of $0.44 per diluted share, swinging from earnings of $0.07 a year earlier.

Four analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a loss of $0.46 per share.

Net sales for the quarter ended Feb. 3 were $754.3 million, down from $760.5 million a year earlier.

Three analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $748.8 million.

The company expects fiscal 2024 diluted EPS of $0.70 to $0.80. Four analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect a normalized EPS of $0.67.
