09:53 AM EDT, 10/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Deutsche Bank ( DB ) has to make increased payments to a group of former Postbank shareholders in connection with its acquisition of Postbank, according to a statement from the Cologne Higher Regional Court on Wednesday.
The court ruled in favor of the 13 plaintiffs, who said they were entitled to a payment of 57.25 euros ($61.69) per Postbank share instead of the 25 euros per share paid in 2010.
The plaintiffs were demanding payment of the difference between the amounts, according to the court's statement.
In a statement Wednesday, Deutsche Bank ( DB ) said it had booked provisions covering the plaintiffs' outstanding claims.
"The court has not allowed a further appeal to the German Federal Court," the bank said. "Deutsche Bank ( DB ) will assess whether to file a non-admission complaint (motion for leave to appeal) after receiving the written reasoning for the decision."
