04:32 AM EST, 11/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Diageo ( DEO ) said Monday it has appointed Sir Dave Lewis as chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1, 2026.

The company said Lewis will step down as chair of Haleon on Dec. 31.

Nik Jhangiani will remain interim CEO until the end of 2025, after which he will return to his role as chief financial officer, the company said.

It added that Deirdre Mahlan, who recently rejoined Diageo ( DEO ) as interim CFO, will continue to assist during the leadership transition.
