09:57 AM EDT, 03/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Diageo ( DEO ) said Tuesday that non-executive director John Manzoni will become chair of the board in February 2025, when Chair Javier Ferran retires from the board.

Manzoni, who joined Diageo's ( DEO ) board in 2020, was chief executive of the UK Civil Service from 2014 to 2020, Diageo ( DEO ) said, adding he is now chair of energy firm SSE.

Ferran has been Diageo's ( DEO ) board chair since 2017, the company said.

Manzoni will also succeed Ferran as chair of the company's nomination committee in February 2025, Diageo ( DEO ) said.
