09:41 AM EST, 12/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Diana Shipping ( DSX ) said Tuesday it has extended the time charter contract for its dry bulk vessel m/v Amphitrite with Cobelfret for a gross rate of $8,750 per day for the first 50 days and $12,100 per day thereafter, minus a 5% commission.

The cargo shipping transportation services company said the new charter, beginning Dec. 31, will run until at least Jan. 1, 2026, with a maximum end date of March 15, 2026.

The extended charter is expected to generate about $4.22 million in gross revenue for the minimum period, Diana Shipping ( DSX ) said.

Shares of the company were down 0.5% in recent trading.
