10:29 AM EDT, 03/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Diana Shipping ( DSX ) said Monday it has extended a charter agreement for one of its vessels, the Myrto, with Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha, Tokyo.

The new contract will pay about $16,650 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, the company said.

The new charter is expected to begin April 7 and will run until at least Sept. 20, 2027, up to maximum Nov. 20, 2027, the company said. Over the minimum period, the agreement is expected to generate about $8.7 million in revenue for the company, it said.
