10:25 AM EDT, 10/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Diana Shipping ( DSX ) said Thursday it extended its time charter contract with Aquavita International for the m/v Phaidra Post-Panamax dry bulk vessel.

The shipping company expects the new charter period to begin Oct. 11.

Diana Shipping ( DSX ) said it expects the contract to generate gross revenue of about $2.4 million for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

The company's shares were down over 3% in recent trading.
