10:06 AM EDT, 03/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Diana Shipping ( DSX ) said Friday it agreed to invest in a newly-created joint venture called Ecogas for an 80% stake in the venture.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

The company said Ecogas will construct two semi-refrigerated LPG vessels, with an option for two additional vessels. The first vessel is scheduled for delivery in Q1 2027, with the second in Q4 2027.

Diana Shipping ( DSX ) said it operates a fleet of 37 dry bulk vessels, and that it expects to receive two Kamsarmax dry bulk vessels in H2 of 2027 and H1 of 2028.
