10:09 AM EDT, 10/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Diana Shipping ( DSX ) said Wednesday it has entered into a time charter contract with shipping company SwissMarine for the m/v New Orleans, one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels.

The gross charter rate is $26,000 per day, less a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a minimum period until Dec. 1, 2026, and a maximum until Feb. 15, 2027. The charter is expected to start on Oct. 28, Diana Shipping ( DSX ) said.

The contract is expected to generate about $10.2 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period, the company said.

Diana Shipping ( DSX ) shares were 1.4% higher in recent trading.
