Dick's Sporting Goods Discloses Cyberattack

09:40 AM EDT, 08/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Dick's Sporting Goods (DKS) said Wednesday that on Aug. 21 it uncovered an unauthorized third-party access to its information systems.

The access included parts of the system with confidential information, the company said in a regulatory filing, adding it activated a cybersecurity response plan, contacted external experts to investigate and contain the threat, and notified federal law enforcement.

The company said the incident didn't disrupt its business operations and it believes it's not material.
