02:49 PM EST, 11/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Dime Community Bancshares ( DCOM ) said Wednesday it closed its public offering of about 4.5 million common shares at $32 per share for total gross proceeds of roughly $144 million.

The share sale included 585,937 shares issued to cover the exercise of an overallotment option in full, the company said.

The net proceeds of about $136 million will be used for general corporate purposes, it said.

Shares of Dime Community Bancshares ( DCOM ) were up nearly 2% in recent trading.
