(Reuters) - DirecTV will terminate its planned acquisition of Dish TV after bondholders rejected a debt swap that the deal relied on, Axios reported on Thursday, citing a person familiar with the matter.
Satellite TV provider DirecTV said earlier this month it will abandon its planned the acquisition of EchoStar's ( SATS ) satellite television business, which includes Dish TV, by Nov. 22 if bondholders don't agree to a debt exchange.
