Dollar General Pick of the Week at Smart Insider Following Chair, Merchandising Chief Stock Sales
Jan 14, 2025 3:43 AM

06:22 AM EST, 01/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Dollar General ( DG ) was Smart Insider's stock pick of the week after the company's Chair Michael Calbert sold 6,000 Dollar General ( DG ) shares at $75 apiece on Dec. 31.

Calbert was a buyer only six months ago at $155, Smart Insider said in a note Tuesday.

Chief Merchandising Officer Emily Taylor also sold the company's shares on Dec. 13 for $77 apiece, lowering her stake by 23%, the note said.

The sales do not look "that unusual" and could be related to compensation but "these additional sales at a lower price point and a lack of insider buying are concerning," according to the note.

Smart Insider downgraded the stock to -1, or strongly negative, from -N.
