05:20 PM EDT, 09/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Dollar General ( DG ) urged shareholders late Wednesday to reject TRC Capital Investment's unsolicited mini-tender offer to acquire up to 1.5 million common shares at $82.20 apiece.

The offer price is lower than the current market price for Dollar General's ( DG ) shares and the offer is subject to several conditions, the discount store chain said.

Dollar General's ( DG ) shares were down nearly 1% at $84.26 at market close Wednesday.

TRC Capital's offer is scheduled to expire on Oct. 23, Dollar General ( DG ) said.
