04:39 PM EST, 11/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Doman Building Materials Group ( CWXZF ) said Thursday after trade its third-quarter earnings and revenue rose.
Net earnings rose to $18.1 million, from $14.6 million. The company did not provide any per share amounts.
Revenue increased to $795 million from $663 million in the prior-year period, but missed the consensus analyst forecast of $807.1 million, according the FactSet. Doman said the higher revenue was due to contributions from the Doman Tucker lumber acquisition.
"While overall pricing in Canada has remained stable year-to-date, the significant decline in Southern Yellow Pine pricing in the US impacted our margins during the third quarter," said board chair Amar Doman. "Despite the continued market volatility, we are seeing production cuts, supply shortages, and steady export demand which somewhat mitigated negative pressures on pricing."
The company expects modest gains during the remainder of the year if housing activity rebounds and policy conditions, including tariffs and trade measures, stabilize.
Doman shares closed down $0.19 to $8.84 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
