Dominion Energy Receives Approval for New Solar Projects From Virginia Regulator

12:35 PM EDT, 04/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Dominion Energy ( D ) said Monday that the Virginia State Corporation Commission has approved more than a dozen new solar projects.

The projects are expected to generate 764 megawatts that will power almost 200,000 homes at peak output, the company said.

These include four solar projects that will be owned or acquired by Dominion Energy Virginia and 13 power-purchase agreements with independently owned solar projects, according to the company.

Construction will create over 1,600 jobs and is targeted to be completed by 2026, while the project cost is expected to add $1.54 to the average residential customer's monthly bill, Dominion Energy ( D ) said.
