Dominion Energy Unit, Amazon Sign MOU to Explore Small Modular Reactor Development in Virginia

09:42 AM EDT, 10/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Dominion Energy ( D ) said Wednesday its Dominion Energy Virginia unit and Amazon ( AMZN ) signed a memorandum of understanding to explore development structures for potential small modular reactor, or SMR, nuclear projects in Virginia.

The agreement aims to advance SMR development and financing while addressing potential risks for customers and investors, Dominion Energy ( D ) said.

Dominion Energy ( D ) shares were up 1% while AMZN were edging 0.05% lower in recent trading.
