Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $3.64.
Total revenue for the fiscal quarter ended Sept. 8 was $1.08 billion, up from $1.03 billion a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $1.01 billion.
For fiscal 2024, the retail restaurant chain expects annual income growth from operations of about 8% on retail sales growth of about 6%. For fiscal 2025, the company expects annual global retail sales growth and annual income from operations growth to be generally in line with its 2024 expectations.
That compared with prior-long-term guidance for 2024 though 2028 of annual income growth from operations of above 8% on retail sales growth of above 7%.
Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect fiscal 2024 earnings of $16.19 per share on revenue of $4.80 billion, and fiscal 2025 earnings of $17.72 on revenue of $1.05 billion.
Shares of the company were down more than 2% in Thursday's premarket activity.
