05:13 PM EDT, 06/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- DraftKings ( DKNG ) is introducing a $0.50 transaction fee on mobile and online bets placed in Illinois through DraftKings Sportsbook, starting Sept. 1.

The sports betting company said Thursday that the implementation of the transaction fee follows the recent and prior sports wagering tax increases passed by the state legislature.
