DTE Energy to Invest More Than $100 Million in Three New Electric Substations Across Michigan

11:09 AM EST, 11/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- DTE Energy ( DTE ) said Monday it is investing over $100 million to build three new electric substations across Michigan.

The project includes a $57 million substation in Northville Township to support the technology corridor, a $17 million substation in Pontiac to improve reliability, and a $39 million substation in Shelby Township to meet growing industrial and commercial demand along 23 and 24 Mile Roads.

All three substations are scheduled for construction between 2024 and 2026, the company said.

The initiative is aligned with DTE's commitment to reduce power outages by 30% and cut restoration times in half by 2029.
