07:53 AM EDT, 10/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The Duckhorn Portfolio ( NAPA ) and Butterfly Equity said Monday they have signed a deal under which the private equity firm will buy Duckhorn for roughly $1.95 billion in cash, or $11.10 per share.

Duckhorn's common shares will stop trading on the New York Stock Exchange upon deal closure, which is anticipated this winter, the companies said.

Duckhorn shares were up over 101% in recent Monday premarket activity.
