Duke Energy Files License Renewal Application for Robinson Nuclear Plant in South Carolina

03:25 PM EDT, 04/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Duke Energy ( DUK ) said Tuesday it has filed an application with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission to extend the operating license of its Robinson Nuclear Plant in Hartsville, South Carolina, for another 20 years.

The plant's license was previously renewed in 2004 to allow operations until 2030, and the new application seeks to extend the operations until 2050, the energy company said.
