08:41 AM EDT, 09/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Duke Energy ( DUK ) said Friday it is continuing to restore power to Florida customers following outages due to Hurricane Helene.

As of Friday at 7:30 am local time, the company said it has restored power to roughly 198,000 customers, while more than 402,000 customers continue to suffer outages.

The company said it is prioritizing the restoration of power to health and safety facilities.
