Duke Energy's Unit Proposes Reduction in Annual Adjustment for Fuel Cost

10:25 AM EDT, 08/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Duke Energy's ( DUK ) Duke Energy Carolinas unit said Tuesday it has proposed a reduction in annual fuel adjustment cost, subject to approval from the Public Service Commission of South Carolina.

After approval, rates for commercial and industrial customers will decrease by 13.8% and 16.2%, respectively, Duke Energy Carolinas added.

The reduction will impact customers' bills starting November, according to the company.
