07:31 AM EDT, 08/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- DuPont ( DD ) said Friday it has agreed to sell its Aramids business to Arclin in a deal valuing the business at roughly $1.8 billion.
At the deal's completion, DuPont ( DD ) will receive pretax cash proceeds of $1.2 billion, a note receivable of $300 million, and a non-controlling common equity interest in the future Arclin company presently valued at $325 million, which is expected to represent a nearly 18% stake at the time of close, the company said.
The deal is expected to close in Q1 2026.
DuPont ( DD ) said it doesn't expect the sale to affect the planned separation of its electronics business, which remains on course for a Nov. 1 spin-off.
Arclin is portfolio company of a TJC affiliate.
