DuPont secures 10-year US import ban on China's Dawnsens in Tyvek case
Sep 8, 2025 7:15 AM

(Reuters) -DuPont said on Monday China's Dawnsens New-Materials will not sell or import products tied to the chemical company's Tyvek brand in the U.S. for 10 years, as part of a trade secrets dispute resolution.

The International Trade Commission approved Dawnsens', also known as Dangs, voluntary agreement to the consent order.

The ban, effective immediately, follows DuPont's complaint in 2024 that Dangs misappropriated trade secrets and infringed trademarks linked to Tyvek, a synthetic material widely used in protective garments and packaging.

DuPont said it welcomed the outcome and would continue to defend its intellectual property globally.

The order will be enforced by the ITC and U.S. Customs.
