10:43 AM EDT, 06/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- DXC Technology ( DXC ) said Tuesday it is committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions from its controlled assets and purchased energy by 2050, expanding its target to cut emissions 65% by 2030 from the fiscal 2019 baseline.

Energy consumption declined by 44% since 2019, resulting in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emission reductions of 58% over the same period, the company said.

Shares of the company fell 1.8% in recent trading.
