08:31 AM EDT, 06/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Dycom Industries ( DY ) said Monday it has appointed Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President Daniel S. Peyovich as its next chief executive, effective Nov. 30.

Peyovich has also been named the president of the telecommunications infrastructure contractor, effective immediately and is expected to join the board of directors on Nov. 30.

Peyovich succeeds Steven E. Nielsen, who is stepping down from the board of directors and retiring after 25 years leading the company as of Nov. 30.

The board also agreed to appoint Richard K. Sykes, Dycom's current lead independent director, as the firm's next chairman following Nielsen's retirement.
