E. W. Scripps to Sell WFTX in Fort Myers, Florida, for $40 Million

10:46 AM EDT, 09/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- E. W. Scripps ( SSP ) said Wednesday it agreed to sell WFTX in Fort Myers, Florida, to private broadcaster Sun Broadcasting for $40 million.

The company said it expects to complete the sale of the local Fox (FOX)-affiliated station in Q4.

E. W. Scripps ( SSP ) plans to use cash from the sale of the station to pay down debt.
