Eastern Bankshares Closes Cambridge Bancorp Merger; Names David Rosato as CFO

08:49 AM EDT, 07/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Eastern Bankshares ( EBC ) said Monday its all-stock merger with Cambridge Bancorp ( CATC ) has closed.

The merger, previously announced in September, was valued at about $528 million.

Eastern also said David Rosato has been named chief financial officer of Eastern Bankshares ( EBC ) and Eastern Bank, effective Aug. 1.

Rosato was previously CFO of Berkshire Hills Bancorp and Berkshire Bank.
