12:09 PM EDT, 04/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- EBay ( EBAY ) said Wednesday it signed definitive agreements for a series of transactions with PSA, an authentication and grading provider for collectibles, and its parent company Collectors.
The definitive deals are for a commercial agreement, eBay's ( EBAY ) acquisition of high-value trading cards auction house Goldin from Collectors, and the sale of eBay ( EBAY ) vault to PSA, according to a statement. EBay ( EBAY ) said its partnership with PSA will offer a full and seamless service for the collectible sector that the partners plan to announce over the coming months.
EBay ( EBAY ) said the partnership will combine the companies' complementary services and extend grading services in the US. PSA also plans to launch a new service that will allow customers to list and sell trading cards on eBay ( EBAY ) after grading, the company added.
Financial terms weren't disclosed. EBay ( EBAY ) said the transactions are expected to close simultaneously in Q2.
