05:39 AM EDT, 04/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Ecarx Holdings ( ECX ) said Wednesday its board approved a preliminary plan to pursue the potential acquisition of a minority stake and certain intellectual property assets of DreamSmart Technology, a company affiliate.

The IP assets particularly pertain to the firm's FlyMe OS.

The company said the planned acquisition in an early, exploratory stage and is subject to ongoing due diligence, among other conditions.

Ecarx ( ECX ) shares were up 5% in premarket activity.
