07:58 AM EDT, 10/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- EchoStar ( SATS ) owned Hughes Network Systems said Wednesday it acquired Anderson Connectivity, an aerospace design, engineering, and manufacturing firm in Melbourne, Florida.

The acquisition expands Hughes' capabilities in aviation, space, and defense by adding engineering experience and products, the company said.

Founder Brian Anderson will join as vice president, aviation technology and innovation officer, and Hughes will assume the Melbourne facility, it said.

The site holds FAA Part 145 certification and is seeking Part 21 certification, and will focus on rapid prototyping and product development, Hughes said.
