Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.67.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $3.99 billion compared with $3.85 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $4.03 billion.

For Q3, the company expects adjusted diluted EPS in the range of $1.75 to $1.85. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $1.79 per share.

The company adjusted its 2024 non-GAAP diluted EPS guidance to $6.50 to $6.70 from the prior $6.40 to $6.70. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $6.58.

Ecolab ( ECL ) shares were down by more than 4% in recent premarket trading.
