08:32 AM EDT, 08/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ecolab ( ECL ) said Tuesday that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Ovivo's electronics business for approximately $1.8 billion.

The acquisition is expected to close in Q1 2026, subject to standard closing conditions, it said.

Ecolab ( ECL ) said that the deal is anticipated to be immediately accretive to the company's sales growth. The company expects the deal to remain neutral to adjusted earnings in the first year post-acquisition, and begin contributing to adjusted earnings per share from 2027 onward.

Ovivo Electronics is expected to generate sales of $500 million in 2025 and currently employs more than 900 people worldwide, Ecolab ( ECL ) said.
