Ecopetrol Closes Acquisition of Colombia Renewable Energy Assets

05:45 AM EST, 11/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ecopetrol ( EC ) said Thursday that it has successfully closed its $157.5 million acquisition of Colombian renewable energy projects totaling 0.6 gigawatt from Statkraft European Wind and Solar.

The assets include a company engaged in the development and operation of Statkraft's Colombian portfolio and six entities owning solar projects.

Ecopetrol ( EC ) said it will begin integrating the companies into its corporate structure.
