11:04 AM EDT, 09/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Ecopetrol ( EC ) said Tuesday it will no longer use "Uchuva" and "Tayrona" to refer to its offshore exploration projects in the Colombian Caribbean, as well as any related projects.

The company in collaboration with its partner Petrobras has renamed the projects to Sirius and GUA-OFF-0, according to Ecopetrol ( EC ).

The names were changed in compliance with a ruling by the Fourth Labor Court of the Santa Marta Circuit, the company added.

Shares of Ecopetrol ( EC ) were up more than 1% in recent trading.
