Ecopetrol Says It Plans to Prepay Half of $1 Billion Loan due 2030

03:32 AM EDT, 10/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Ecopetrol SA ( EC ) said late Thursday it plans to prepay half of the $1 billion outstanding balance of a loan agreement due September 2030 with international banks.

The company intends to fund the repayment with $250 million of its available cash and $250 million funds from an external credit with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking.
