11:15 AM EDT, 07/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- EHang Holdings ( EH ) said Monday it delivered the first 10 EH216-S pilotless electric vertical takeoff and landing, or eVTOL, aircraft to Taiyuan Xishan Ecological Tourism Investment Construction in Q2.

The company said it also made its debut passenger-carrying EH216-S flights Sunday in Taiyuan, Shanxi to show the potential use of the aircraft in aerial sightseeing services.

Taiyuan Xishan and EHang ( EH ) agreed on a deal for 50 EH216-S aircraft in May, with plans to buy an additional 450 units in the next two years, the company said.

Shares of EHang ( EH ) were up 2.4% in recent Monday trading.
