09:26 AM EDT, 07/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Eight Boeing ( BA ) 737-8 aircraft will be received by Air Canada under a deal it had signed with BOC Aviation, the Canadian airline said Tuesday.

The airplanes are set to be delivered this year and to undergo necessary modifications before entering service next year, Air Canada said.

The carrier said the aircraft will initially operate with one economy class layout until they are reconfigured to fully match Air Canada's narrow-body, two-cabin standard in the future.
