Eightco Closes $270 Million Private Placement to Launch Worldcoin Treasury Strategy

06:43 AM EDT, 09/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Eightco Holdings ( OCTO ) said Wednesday that it has closed $270 million private placement to launch a Worldcoin (WLD-USD) treasury strategy.

The transaction was led by Mozayyx with participation from a number of institutional investors including World Foundation, Discovery Capital Management, Wedbush and others, Eightco ( OCTO ) said.

BitMine Immersion ( BMNR ) made a $20 million investment, Eightco ( OCTO ) said.

Eightco ( OCTO ) said it will use the proceeds to purchase and hold WLD as its primary treasury reserve asset, in addition to cash and ethereum (ETH-USD) as secondary reserve assets.

Dan Ives of Wedbush was named to serve as chairman of the board.

Eightco ( OCTO ) also said its Nasdaq ticker will change to ORBS on Thursday.

Shares of Eightco ( OCTO ) were down more 18% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
