11:41 AM EDT, 08/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Elanco Animal Health ( ELAN ) shares were up 8.5% in recent Tuesday trading after Chief Executive Jeffrey Simmons disclosed a recent stock purchase.

Simmons on Monday bought 100,000 Elanco shares at about $13.01 apiece, according to a regulatory filing.

Following the transaction, Simmons has control over about 1.5 million shares, with roughly 1.4 million shares held directly and 145,000 shares controlled indirectly, the filing showed.
