Electrovaya Starts Battery System Assembly Operations in New York

10:31 AM EDT, 05/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Electrovaya ( ELVA ) said Wednesday it has begun operations at its battery system assembly facility in Jamestown, New York.

The company also said it anticipates to begin lithium ion cell and module production in mid-2026.

Electrovaya ( ELVA ) said it has placed orders for more than $40 million worth of capital equipment, to be funded from a recently closed $51 million direct loan from the Export Import Bank of the United States.

Delivery is expected to begin late this year, the company said.
