10:56 AM EDT, 08/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Eli Lilly ( LLY ) said Thursday that it will increase the UK price of Mounjaro, the company's weight-loss and type 2 diabetes drug, starting September to align pricing with other developed countries.

News outlets reported the same day that the price increase will vary for different doses of Mounjaro, with up to a 170% increase for the highest doses.

According to news reports, Eli Lilly ( LLY ) said it initially agreed on a UK list price for Mounjaro that was "significantly below" that in its three other European markets when it launched the drug to prevent supply delays for the UK's National Health Service or NHS.

Eli Lilly ( LLY ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
