Emera Closes $1.19-Billion Sale of Equity Interest in Labrador Island Link

02:03 PM EDT, 06/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Emera ( EMRAF ) on Tuesday said it completed the $1.19-billion sale of its indirect minority equity interest in the Labrador Island Link to KKR.

The Labrador Island Link is a 1,100-kilometer high-voltage transmission line that delivers renewable energy to Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and beyond.

Emera ( EMRAF ) is a geographically diverse energy and services company headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with about $39 billion in assets and 2023 revenues of $7.6 billion.

The company's shares were last seen unchanged at $47.81 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
