11:39 AM EDT, 10/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Emerald Holding ( EEX ) shares retreated by more than 5% in recent Wednesday trading after its Q3 results trailed analyst estimates.
The company reported a Q3 loss of $0.05 per diluted share, compared with breakeven a year earlier.
Two analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a loss of $0.04.
Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $72.6 million, up from $72.5 million a year earlier.
Two analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $79.7 million.
The company said it now expects 2024 revenue of at least $400 million, compared with $415 million to $425 million previously. Two analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $422.9 million.
Emerald also said its board extended and expanded its buyback program to repurchase of $25 million in common stock through Dec. 31, 2025.
