06:20 AM EDT, 08/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Emergent Biosolutions ( EBS ) said Friday that the US Food and Drug Administration has approved its supplemental application for ACAM2000, single-dose vaccine for smallpox and mpox.

The vaccine is also licensed in Canada, Australia and Singapore, with stockpiles available globally to address bioterrorism and disease outbreaks.

Shares of the company rose nearly 16% in premarket activity.
